The original natural concrete look. It enhances design with its smooth, light concrete appearance. The natural beauty of concrete and durability of fibre cement combine together spectacularly with Barestone Original Cladding. This precise concrete style fits well with modern and industrial building designs. Barestone Original Cladding has a blend of warm greys and light greys. The dark valleys of the modern express joints juxtapose these light colours. This helps the geometric shapes created by the joints dominate the aesthetic. This makes for striking facades and dynamic internal feature walls.
Express joints create clean lines and dynamic facades. An express joint is simply the consistent 10mm gap surrounding each square edged panel. This is where designers can be creative. Orient panels vertically or horizontally. Cut them down and arrange them in any number of geometric layouts including Linear, Staggered, Grid, Half Bond (brick style), Skirt panel, Asymmetrical or even Random layouts.
The warm tones and light greys in Barestone Original easily compliment other building materials. Especially warm timber features (Like Territory Woodlands Teak and Cedar Cladding). There are 3 Barestone Original cladding products. The two different length exterior products are finished with Ceminseal water-blocking technology. And one interior product with an effective stain-resistant coating.
Barestone cladding is made to strict quality standards. However, as with natural timber and stone, every Barestone panel is unique in colour and patterning. Some panels may have larger areas of lighter and darker colouring. And sometimes there may be white or black mineral deposits. This randomness and uniqueness is what gives Barestone its character and is not a fault.
External Installation – There are two exterior cladding systems, one for commercial buildings and one for detached homes. Commercial buildings. Use the versatile Commercial ExpressWall® top hat fixing system. It creates a Pressure Equalized Ventilated Cavity System to enhance weather resistance and moisture management. Detached homes. Use a conventional and cost-effective practice of installing the panels onto timber battens.
Internal Installation – Fix panels to timber, non-structural light gauge steel framing, masonry, concrete, and other suitable substrates in two ways. Concealed fixing. Adhesive products are used to install to timber or steel studs. Exposed fasteners. Exposed head screws or Barestone rivets can be used on steel studs. For peace of mind, Barestone Original is CodeMark Certified CM20198. Panels can be used whenever a non-combustible material is required by NCC2022 Clause C2D10 (6)(d) [NCC2019: C1.9 (e)(iv)]. The Barestone wall system can achieve a Bushfire Attack Level of up to BAL40 when constructed in accordance with Australian Standard AS3959 and Cemintel’s design and installation guides.
