A smooth texture with a transparent coating that reveals a fine grain sediment (marl) texture. Cemintel® Surround™ Whiteish is a white cladding with a hint of warm pigments reminiscent of alabaster. The alabaster colour is a soft white with creamy tones. It isn’t bright and goes well with other colours and natural building materials. White is a timeless colour that lends itself well to minimalist modern designs.
The Surround Whiteish range has different coatings and textures which all give a different matte effect. They respond differently to light giving variety within the palette of white cladding. Shades of white with warm undertones have been fashionable for the better part of a decade. White cladding on external walls can symbolize peace or simplicity. Whites tend to have a bright, uplifting feel. White cladding pairs well with many natural elements like wood, stone, glass and sleek metals. Whiteish could be the most versatile cladding colour. It works in harmony with every other “ISH” neutral or secondary palette colour in the Cemintel Surround range.
The 1200 x 3000 x 8mm prefinished square edge panels come trimmed and sealed. Superior weather resistance and strength compared to other fibre cement panels of similar thickness. Panels can be installed horizontally or vertically with expressed joints using the ExpressWall® fixing system. The applied final sealant coating better withstands weathering, pollution and micoroclimatic conditions such as mould/algae.
External Wall Installation – Surround Cladding can be installed in various layouts using the ExpressWall top hat fixing system. The system can be installed onto steel or timber stud framing, masonry or concrete. Panels are fixed with express joints using Surround colour-matched rivets. The installation is designed to create a Pressure Equalised Ventilated Cavity System which delivers high weather performance and moisture management.
Interior Wall Installation – Surround panels can be installed as an internal lining for feature walls in dry areas. Panels can be fixed to timber or nonstructural light gauge steel framing. They can also be fixed to masonry, concrete or autoclaved aerated concrete substrates via timber or MDF battens or metal furring channels. Concealed fixing is achieved using SIKA adhesive products. Colour matched rivets can also be used with steel framing.
