Uniflott Joint Compound
Product Description

Uniflott is a special gypsum-based synthetically enhanced compound specifically designed for use in jointing Stratopanel? systems and filling screw heads.

Uniflott comes in a consistent 45 minutes working time Finalcote?, SHEETROCK? Plus 3 and SHEETROCK? Total Lite are recommended for finishing Stratopanel joints and screw heads after applying Uniflott for easy sanding and smooth finish.

  1. The substrate should be stable, dry, firm and clean. Remove any residues and dust
  2. Prime cut edges of Stratopanel with a high quality PVC based primer
  3. Sprinkle Uniflott in clean, cold water (up to close below water line (5 kg in approx. 2.4 l water) and mix without any further additives to a creamy consistency
  4. Always use clean cold water, tools and containers. Do not mix with residues of previously used compounds; use of dirty tools or containers may affect product performance
  5. Mix only enough Uniflott to meet needs
  6. Apply Uniflott compound to joints fully with caulking gun. For screw heads use filling knife or plasterboard conventional tools
  7. When the Uniflott compound has stiffened in the joints remove any excess with a jointing knife, being careful not to damage the paper. To remove Knauf Uniflott push the jointing knife away from you
  8. Do not apply Uniflott compounds at temperatures below +10 °C.
  9. Sand as required in readiness for painting
  10. Finish joints and screw heads with recommended topping compound.
  • Uniflott should be stored under cover in a dry environment and protected from temperature extremes; storage in an unsuitable environment can shorten the life of this product.
  • Can be stored for approx. 9 months.
